H5Pset_layout control in R

I am working with a data.frame with 4.6 GB in R and I would like to save it in hdf5 format. This is what I am doing:

and (I suppose) I have to set a storage option other than H5D_COMPACT while working on a contiguous or fragmented file as mentioned in this question , and in the official mana l link .

Is there a way to work with H5Pset_layout from R?
